NEWPORT NEWS, Va. —
Frostburg State junior safety Najier Frazer (Bowie, Md./Duval)
was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week, Monday.
Frazer made eight stops, three solo and five assisted, and recorded one pass breakup and forced a fumble to help lead FSU to a 14-6 win over Westminster on Saturday.
Frazer ranks seventh in the ACFC with 6.3 tackles per game. On the year, he has made 38 total stops including three for loss and three pass breakups.
He is just the second Bobcat to win the defensive award this season. Junior Gabe Ellis (Laurel, Del./Delmar) earned the honor last week after FSU defeated Union (Ky.), 7-3.
Frostburg State, 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the ACFC, have won two-straight games and look to keep the streak alive when it travels to Waynesburg this Saturday for a 1:30 pm kickoff.
