Free Infant Massage Classes Offered at FSU in March
03/01/2012

Parents of infants can learn to give their babies massages with free infant massage classes by Dr. Megan E. Bradley, Frostburg State University professor of psychology, and Linda Storm, executive director of Infant Massage USA, on Wednesdays in March beginning March 7, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Dance Studio in the FSU Cordts Physical Education Center.

Sponsored by FSU’s Center for Children and Families, classes are taught in small groups of parents/caregivers and their infants up to one year of age. Benefits include stimulation to all systems of the body for healthy growth and development; relaxation, which has been known to help infants sleep better; relief of discomfort from gas, colic and constipation; and an overall bonding experience between parent and child.

All courses are monitored by professionals who were trained through Infant Massage USA. For more information or to register, call or text 240-284-8543. Class size is limited.

FSU is committed to making all of its programs, services and activities accessible to persons with disabilities. To request accommodations through the ADA Compliance Office, call 301-687-4102 or use a Voice Relay Operator at 1-800-735-2258. -end-
