Frostburg State Students Share Alternative Spring Break Experiences on Social Media

FSU students are teaming up with United Way and Break A Difference to help communities in New Jersey continue to recover from 2012's Superstorm Sandy by rebuilding homes and performing other service projects.

Thirty-seven students along with faculty and staff and members of the University-sponsored ECHOSTARS are in Wall Township, N.J., with students from other universities for an Alternative Spring Break.

The annual trips are organized by FSU’s Office of Civic Engagement. This is the third year an Alternative Spring Break trip has helped residents in New Jersey. For the previous eight years, volunteers worked in New Orleans with Hurricane Katrina relief. Students must apply each year to be included on the trip.

Students, faculty and staff are using #FrostburgServes, #BreakADifference and #UnitedWayASB on social media to share their experiences. View the Storify below or visit this link if the Storify does not display
