FROSTBURG, MD —
Frostburg State University will host the 2005 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball semifinals and final February 25-26.
The Bobcats clinched the tournament’s No. 1 seed with a 16-1 league mark and are currently 19-5 overall. FSU closes out its regular season Saturday at second-place Pitt-Greensburg (17-7, 14-3).
Seeds 2-6 of the tournament are as yet undetermined, with six teams still vying for the five remaining places. Several games being played this Friday and Saturday will settle the field.
Frostburg State and the No. 2 seed will receive first-round byes. No. 3 will host No. 6 and No. 4 will host No. 5 in first-round action Tuesday, February 22 beginning at 7 pm.
The semifinals will be held Friday, February 25 with FSU facing the winner of the No. 4/5 contest at 6 and the No. 2 seed taking on the No. 3/6 winner at 8.
The championship game is scheduled for Saturday, February 26 at 3 pm.
Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children and non-FSU students. FSU students and staff receive free admission with a valid FSU ID.
