Frostburg State University Graphic Design Class Collaborates With Frostburg Business
Students from a Frostburg State University Advanced Graphic Design class recently developed a poster campaign for Edward Jones Investments of Frostburg.
Working in support of the Historic Frostburg Main Street Committee's mission to enhance the appearance of the Frostburg business community, the students collaborated in groups to design posters that would specifically entice local investors to visit the Edward Jones Investments Main Street offices. Student participants included: Colin Avore, B.J. Ball, Matt Coutras, James Derdock, Zack Ditmars, Darrin Isom, Natalie McKenzie, Paul Mills, Liz Moffit, Nick Mohler, Melinda Piazza, Andi Simpson, Jason Werner, Jane Williamson, Kim Wolfe and Lynford Yoder.
According to FSU Graphic Design Instructor Michelle Truman, the students created three different marketing concepts which they presented to Edward Jones investment counselor Doug Kramer and marketing manager Kari Bullamore.
"I was impressed not only with the creativity of the students, but also with their professionalism," stated Kramer. "This is the best window display that I have had in my office in nine years."
After their meeting with Edward Jones staff, the students worked in conjunction with the General Art Store, Frostburg, and the FSU Printing Services to produce the selected design posters.
The student's work is currently on display at Edward Jones Investments, 139 E. Main Street, Frostburg.
