Frostburg State University’s UPC Presents “Fat Brain, Skinny Body”
A comedian and recovered anorexic who created “Fat Brain, Skinny Body,” a presentation on eating disorder awareness and positive body self-image, will speak at Frostburg State University at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, in the Lane University Center’s Alice R. Manicur Assembly Hall.
This University Programming Council presentation is free and open to the public.
Michelle Garb has first-hand experience with the personal losses that stem from an eating disorder as a result of her 15-year battle with anorexia. As a comedian, she works all the major clubs in New York City and Los Angeles and has appeared on the Chris Rock show.
Garb is still active in her recovery and is in the process of forming a non-profit eating disorder organization to be called “Edith Eats,” which has recently gained support and funding through the NCAA. One of the hottest comics and most respected lecturers, Garb makes learning fun and inspirational.
