The Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Cumberland, 16 Washington St., will host the Frostburg State University Collegium Musicum in Concert, Sunday, Dec. 8, at 4 p.m.
Under the direction of Dr. Karen Soderberg Sarnaker, and accompanied by Betty Jane Phillips, Collegium Musicum’s performance will include Roland de Lassus’ Christmas motet, "Resonet in Laudibus" and "Four Motets for the Christmas Season" by Francis Poulenc. They will also perform "Kondalilla," based on Australian aboriginal beliefs of spirituality, by Stephen Leek; "Sigalagala" (Kenya), arranged by S.A. Otieno, and "The Storm Is Passing Over" (American gospel), arranged by Barbara Baker. Collegium Musicum will conclude with "A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square." arranged by Gene Puerling, "Salseo" (Venezuela) by Oscar Galian and "Take The A Train," arranged by Stephen Zegree.
