FSU Foundation Contributes Math Textbook to Area High Schools
08/07/2002

The Frostburg State University Foundation, Inc., has contributed copies of the "Weimer Statistics" textbook to area high schools for use in advanced mathematical studies. Written by Dr. Richard Weimer, a professor in FSU's Department of Mathematics, the book has been used internationally for introductory studies in statistics.

The Foundation recently distributed the textbook by using services provided by Friends Aware Industries of Cumberland. Proceeds will benefit an endowment to support mathematic programs at FSU.

Copies were provided to the Allegany County Board of Education for county distribution, Southern High School, Bishop Walsh High School and Calvary Christian High School.

Other schools interested in receiving copies should contact Jack Aylor, executive director of the FSU Foundation, Inc., at (301) 687-4161.
