The Department of Mass Communications at Frostburg State University will offer a selection of classes during the 2002 Summer Session. Enrollment remains open through May 17. Courses being offered are:
First summer session (from May 28 to July 3): MCOM 105, "Introduction to Mass Communication," meeting Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., and MCOM 326, "Writing for Electronic Media," meeting Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. Instructor for both courses is Dr. Robert Scott
Second summer session (from July 8 to Aug. 13): MCOM 336, "Broadcast-Cable Programming," meeting Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.; MCOM 347, "Telecommunications Law," meeting Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. Scott is also the instructor for both courses.
Full session (from May 28 to Aug. 20): MCOM 494 "Mass Communication Practicum," taught by Dr. Tyra Phipps; MCOM 495, "Internship in Mass Communication," taught by Dr. John Lombardi; MCOM 499, "Directed Study," taught by Dr. Lindsy Pack.
