Frostburg State University will hold an Intensive Teenage Dance Workshop from Monday, July 8, through Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The program includes beginning level modern dance and repertory for a final performance scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 4. Guest classes in ballet, jazz and choreography will also be offered. Barry Fischer of FSU's Department of Dance will teach fundamentals of the Martha Graham technique with FSU Dance Company members Amy Gordon and Susan Manger.
An orientation will be held on Sunday, July 7, at 2 p.m. in FSU's Performing Arts Center's Rehearsal Studio, room 224.
Two options are available. Option One is the entire four-week program with performance for $400. Option Two is attendance by the week without performance for $125 per week.
Enrollment is limited, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The deadline is Monday, July 1. After this date, a late fee of $25 will be charged. Checks should be made payable to FSU, and can be paid Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Division of Performing Arts Office on the third floor of FSU's Performing Arts Center.
