FSU’s Bill Mandicott Elected to National Board of State Art Agencies
Frostburg State University’s Bill Mandicott has been elected to a three-year term of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies’ (NASAA) board of directors. As part of a rigorous national nomination process, state arts agencies elected five outstanding leaders at the most recent NASAA Assembly in Washington, D.C.

Mandicott has 30 years of professional experience in student affairs administration. He is assistant vice president for Student and Community Involvement at FSU and is former chair and current artistic curator of FSU’s Cultural Event Series. Appointed to the Maryland State Arts Council by Governor Martin O’Malley in 2007, Mandicott served as chair from 2010 to 2012 and continues to serve as a council member. He serves as the chair of the Maryland Presenters Network and on NASAA’s Development and Nominating committees. Mandicott completed post-masters coursework in educational leadership at West Virginia University. He has a master’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in counselor education/student personnel services and a bachelor’s degree in economics from State University of New York, College of Arts and Sciences at Geneseo.

The National Assembly of State Arts Agencies is the membership organization that unites, represents and serves the nation’s state and jurisdictional arts agencies.
