FSU’s Children’s Theatre to Present “Robin Hood”
03/31/2003

Frostburg State University’s Children Theatre will present “Robin Hood” on Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, at 2 p.m. in the FSU Performing Arts Center. All ages are welcomed to attend. Admission is only $1.

Adapted from Larry Blamire's “Robin Hood,” and directed by junior FSU theatre major Jen Bonner, the same characters you've always known, portrayed by FSU students, are featured in this play. Robin Hood (Larry Lewis) is the brave leader of the Merry Men. Will Scarlet (Scott Deans) is his wisecracking sidekick. Little John (Jon Wildesen) is anything but little, and Friar Tuck (Mike Virts) will have audience members rolling in the aisles. When Maid Marion (Justine Poulin), lady-in-waiting to Queen Eleanor (Catie Childers), is kidnapped by the Sheriff Of Nottingham (Todd Fussell), the Merry Men must save her before she is forced to marry the Sheriff. But Marion is no damsel in distress.

Come see the story unfold as King John (Chris Coy), the Bishop (Craig Lawrence) and the Sheriff try to find Robin's camp with the help of the Prioress of Kirkless (Jennifer Arnold), Robin's own cousin, and Guy of Gisbourne (Thom Cutler) to stop Robin forever. But, true to the legend, all ends well.
