FSU’s Cultural Events Series Presents ‘Little Women’ Jan. 25-26
FROSTBURG, Md.—One of America’s most timeless and heart-warming novels comes to life on stage when Frostburg State University’s Cultural Events Series presents “Little Women”- The Broadway Musical, a theatre production by Windwood Theatricals based on the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott. Preview performances by Windwood before the group kicks off its official tour are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 26, at 3 and 8 p.m. in FSU’s Performing Arts Center Drama Theatre.
This remarkable performance follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War-era America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were first written. Now, for the first time ever, this wonderful narrative has been brought to life as an exhilarating new musical. “Little Women” -The Broadway Musical embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and an uplifting spirit. Filled with great music, dancing and heart, “Little Women” provides a richly sentimental, family-friendly night at the theatre that is a perfect antidote to the mid-winter blues.
