Frostburg State University student Hannah Lagno will perform her senior percussion recital on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 3 p.m. in Pealer Recital Hall in FSU’s Performing Arts Center. This performance is free and open to the public.
Lagno will perform “Suite No. 1 in G Major for Violoncello Solo” by Johann Sebastian Bach; “Fear of the Hunted” by Dustin Lowes; “No. 2 Funk, Funk No. 2” by Todd Ukena; and “Rumble Strips” by Gordon Stout. She will be assisted by Gregory Jaeger on drumset.
Lagno, who plans to graduate in May 2011, is a music education and performance major, with a double concentration in percussion and piano. She hopes to earn a master’s degree in percussion performance and perform with an orchestra. Lagno is in the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference and the Collegiate Percussive Arts Society. She is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and is on the Dean’s List. Lagno, from Queenstown, Md., is the daughter of Fred and Sue Lagno and is a 2006 graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School.
