FSU's Hoffman Honored by American Association of Physics Teachers

Dr. Joseph Hoffman, associate dean of the Frostburg State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was presented with the American Association of Physics Teachers Distinguished Service Award at the annual meeting of the Appalachian Section of the AAPT.

At the meeting, held at the Fairmont State College Gaston Caperton Center in Clarksburg, W.Va., Oct. 21, Hoffman was cited for his service as vice president and president of the Appalachian Section and as a member of the Committee on Physics Undergraduate Education in the national AAPT. He also was honored for his leadership efforts in teacher education and for collaborative engineering programs in the Tri-State area.
