Frostburg State University’s Opera Theatre will present various scenes from the operas “Cosi fan tutte” and “Le nozze di Figaro” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Faust” by Charles Gounod, “L’elisir d’amore” by Gaetano Donizetti and “Hansel und Gretel” by Engelbert Humperdinck on Friday, Nov. 12, and Saturday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. The performance will be held in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU’s Performing Arts Center.
This event is free and open to the public.
The Opera Theatre director and stage director for the production is Mariana Mihai-Zoeter, and Judie Brown is the accompanist. Student performers include Alexandra Pieters (Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel”), Bailey Kerr (Siebel in “Faust”), Britany Poindexter (La Contessa in “Le nozze di Figaro”), Jiaqi Xu (Adina in “L’elisir d’amore”), Kathryn Kline (Despina in “Cosi fan tutte”), Kristin Brown (Susanna in “Le nozze di Figaro”), Lane Conklin (Nemorino in “L’elisir d’amore”), Lauren Huyser (Fiordiligi in “Cosi fan tutte”) and Stephanie Laut (Dorabella in “Cosi fan tutte” and Hansel in “Hansel und Gretel”).
