Frostburg State senior Armin Gooden (Buckhannon, W.Va./Buckhannon-Upshur) placed second at the 2000 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championships with a time of 27:46, his second straight runner-up finish. However, the Bobcats were forced to compete with only four runners due to injury and did not place in the team scoring.
Penn State Behrend ended Frostburg State's three-year reign as champions by finishing five runners in the top seven.
La Roche sophomore Andrew Musinguzi, last year's AMCC Newcomer of the Year, continued his impressive season by winning the overall title in 26:50 and capturing conference MVP honors.
Penn State Behrend's Kevin Ritzert, Denni Halaszyuski and Sohrab Moeini rounded out the men's top five. Pitt-Bradford was third in the team standings with 69 points.
The Bobcats return to action at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championships November 11 at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa.
