Grabill, Little Earn AMCC Player of the Week Honors
02/24/2004

FROSTBURG, MD - Frostburg State players swept the AMCC Basketball Player of the Week honors this week.

Senior Ryan Grabill (Boonsboro, Md./Williamsport) took home the men's award, while junior Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany) earned the women's honor.

Little was also selected the ECAC Division III Women's Basketball Southern Region Player of the Week as well.

Grabill averaged 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals to spark FSU to a pair of key league wins.

He scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds, handed out four assists and added two steals in a 74-70 win over Penn State Altoona last Wednesday, and he followed that performance with a career-high 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting (including 5-of-5 from three-point range) in an 80-71 win at La Roche Saturday as the Bobcats clinched the No. 3 seed in the AMCC Tournament.

Grabill was also 6-for-6 from the free-throw line in the two games to raise his percentage to 91.1 (72-of-79) on the year. He is currently ranked seventh in the nation in free-throw shooting.

The AMCC weekly honor is Grabill's second of the year.

Little averaged 19.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 blocks to lead the Bobcats to a pair of AMCC wins.

She posted her 13th double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 79-55 win over Penn State Altoona and added 20 points and nine rebounds in a XX-XX victory at La Roche to help FSU clinch the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.

The AMCC weekly honor is Little's third of the year, while the ECAC award is her first of the season.
