Frostburg State senior running back DeNelle Hale (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar)
has been named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week in the league's weekly announcement Sunday.
Hale racked up 213 all-purpose yards and scored a pair of touchdowns in FSU's 44-36 loss to Wesley on Saturday. He carried 28 times for 155 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown run, and he also caught a 59-yard touchdown pass.
Hale shared honors with Wesley senior quarterback Jason Visconti, who completed 30-of-48 passes for 337 yards four touchdowns in the victory over the Bobcats.
Apprentice senior lineman Dirul Burrus was named the ACFC Defensive Player of the Week after posting 11 tackles, including six for loss, a forced fumble and a sack in the Builders' 16-7 win against Gallaudet.
Salisbury freshman linebacker Brad DeHaven took home ACFC Rookie of the Week honors. He had a team-high 13 tackles, including three for loss and two sacks, and he forced a fumble as the Seagulls rallied to beat Chowan, 42-35 in overtime.
