Italian and Japanese Classes Offered at Frostburg State University

Two new language classes will be taught at Frostburg State University starting in the fall.

Basic Italian will be instructed by Professor Emeritus Kenneth Jablon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 a.m. This is a three-credit course designed for those who have never studied Italian. The emphasis is on practical communication and is directed for those who might want to travel to Italy.

Japanese will be offered in three course levels -- MDFL 190 for those who know nothing of Japanese, MDFL 290 for the second semester Japanese and MDFL 390 for the third semester Japanese. All courses are for three credits.

The Japanese courses will be taught by Maki Tanaka, an exchange teacher. Ms. Tanaka, who is from Tokyo, graduated from Dokkyo University where she majored in English and International Relations.
