Frostburg State senior running back Edward Kearney (Bel Air, Md./Calvert)
and junior kicker Jarred Boehner (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland)
have been named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Co-Offensive Players of the Week for their stellar performances in the Bobcats' thrilling 42-39 overtime win over league foe Wesley Saturday.
Kearney ran 21 times for 202 yards (9.6-yard average) and a career-high three touchdowns to spark FSU's victory. He scored on runs of 55, 8 and 59 yards and also returned the opening kickoff 42 yards to set up the Bobcats' first touchdown of the game.
Boehner kicked a school-record four field goals, including the game-winning 22-yarder on Frostburg State's first possession of overtime which gave the Bobcats the win. He also hit from 34, 36 and 28 yards and converted all four of his extra point attempts.
Salisbury freshman linebacker Billy Leinemann was named the ACFC Defensive Player of the Week after making a game-high 11 tackles in a 44-3 win over Chowan.
Wesley freshman Omar Muhammad earned ACFC Rookie of the Week honors after running 27 times for 116 yards, catching six passes for 74 yards and scoring twice in the loss to Frostburg State.
