Frostburg State junior running back Mike Kitchen (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon)
was named the Atlantic Central Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Bobcats' 35-33 loss to Westminster Saturday.
The 5-11, 205-pound Kitchen set career-high's with 37 carries and 209 rushing yards and scored on a one-yard touchdown plunge. He also caught three passes for 22 yards.
Kitchen had seven runs of 10 yards or longer, including a 37-yard rumble early in the third quarter. He leads the Bobcats with 121 carries and 530 yards this season.
Kitchen is the sixth FSU player to earn ACFC Offensive Player of the Week honors this year. A Bobcat player has also won the award each of the last four weeks.
Salisbury junior linebacker Brad DeHaven was named the ACFC Defensive Player of the Week after making 10 tackles, including five for losses and two sacks, in a 34-26 league win over Wesley.
Salisbury freshman defensive back James Jones took home ACFC Rookie of the Week honors by making four tackles, two pass breakups and an interception against Wesley.
