BALTIMORE, MD —
Frostburg State women’s lacrosse team lost to the College of New Jersey, 17-4, Tuesday afternoon on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.
The Lions (10-2) are ranked No. 4 in the International Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association Poll.
TCNJ dominated the entire game with a 10-2 lead at intermission.
Freshman Danielle Merson (Fallston, Md./Fallston) scored two goals for the Bobcats (5-9), while senior Stefanie Ritz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and sophomore Lindsay Lamont (Sykesville, Md./Century) netted one goal apiece.
Freshman Bobcat keeper Erin Morrell (Easton, Md./Easton) picked up 22 saves in the loss, earning her 13th double-digit performance of the season.
FSU returns to action on Saturday April 29, as it travels to Ohio Wesleyan for a game beginning at 1:00 pm.
