Frostburg State University Activities for Life, the City of Frostburg Department of Parks and Recreation and the Western Potomac Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a lifeguard certification class from March 29 until April 2 in the FSU Cordts PE Center Pool. The class will be instructed by Amanda Delaney.
Lifeguard students are required to have strong swimming skills and should be able to complete a quarter-mile swim using an acceptable swimming stroke. Students must also be able to attend all class and pool times. Refunds will not be given after the start of the course.
The class will be held on March 29: 8 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 3:15 to 9 p.m.; March 30: 8 a.m. to noon; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; 3:15 p.m. to 9 p.m.; March 31: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; and April 2: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
