FROSTBURG, MD —
Frostburg State junior Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany)
is ranked among the national leaders in the latest NCAA Division III statistics released Wednesday.
As of games played through January 18, Little is ranked 18th in the nation in scoring (19.8 ppg) and is tied for 27th in rebounding (10.5 rpg).
She is coming off a 23-point, 19-rebound effort in Wednesday's 99-92 win over Penn State Altoona and could continue to climb the national charts with another strong performance when the Bobcats host Pitt-Bradford Saturday at 2:00 pm.
Little has recorded a team-high eight double-doubles this year and has missed two other double-doubles by a single rebound. She has scored a season-high 32 points twice and has scored at least 20 points in seven other contests.
The Bobcats, 11-5 overall and 3-1 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, are off to their best start since 1987-88. That team had an identical mark through 16 games en route to an 18-7 finish.
