Sophomore Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany)
and senior Kim Faust (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin)
have been named to the D3hoop.com All-Atlantic Region Team in a vote by the region's sports information directors.
Little, a 6-0 forward, was selected to the region's second team after a stellar season. She was voted the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year after leading the league in both scoring (16.9) and rebounding (10.0).
She posted an impressive 14 double-doubles, including 10 in her final 12 contests. She had eight 20-point games, pouring in a career-high 29 against Penn State Altoona February 19, and she closed out the year on a roll, averaging 18.5 points and 11.3 rebounds in her final 12 games.
Little, a three-time AMCC Player of the Week selection, led FSU with a 75.5 free-throw percentage and 29 blocks, and she tied for second on the team with 49 steals.
Faust, a 5-11 forward/center, was voted to the All-Atlantic Region third team. She earned first-team All-AMCC honors for the third straight year after averaging 16.8 points and 8.1 rebounds to rank second on the squad in both categories.
She recorded five double-doubles and was a single rebound shy of eight more.
Faust, who scored 20 or more points 11 times, finished her career ranked fourth on the FSU all-time scoring list with 1,624 points and fifth on the school’s career rebounding chart with 888 caroms.
This is the second D3hoops.com honor for Faust. She was named to the All-Atlantic second team in 2001-02.
Both Little and Faust are now eligible for the national All-America team which will be released in the coming weeks.
