Little Named AMCC Player of the Week

Gibsonia, PA — Frostburg State senior forward Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Monday after leading the Bobcats to the AMCC Tournament championship this past weekend.

In two games, Little averaged 22.5 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists as FSU captured its second league title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Little, who was named the AMCC Co-Player of the Year, had 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists in FSU’s 63-53 semifinal win over Penn State Behrend Friday night.

She then turned in an outstanding effort with 24 points, 17 rebounds, three assists and two steals in an 81-62 victory over No. 2 Pitt-Greensburg in Saturday’s championship game.

Little also moved into the fourth spot on FSU's all-time scoring list with 1,626 points.

The Bobcats will travel to Westminster, Md., to face McDaniel in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Wednesday. Tip-off time is 7:00 pm.
