GREENSBURG, PA —
Freshman Jen Vance (Mt. Savage, Md./Fort Hill)
recorded a team-high 13 kills and junior Jessica Saturday (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett)
tied her career-high with 10 kills to lead Frostburg State to a 32-30, 30-18, 30-19 sweep of host Pitt-Greensburg Tuesday night.
The Bobcats improved to 11-15 overall and 5-6 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, setting up a likely showdown with La Roche for the fourth and final AMCC Tournament berth in the regular-season finale for both teams Monday, October 29 at Bobcat Arena. Pitt-Greensburg fell to 5-13 overall and 1-8 in league play.
Junior Lori Glatt (Rockville, Md./Magruder) led the Bobcats with a career-high seven service aces, while freshmen Carrie Ness (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Lauren Petrick (Denton, Md./North Caroline) each had 16 assists and four service aces.
Freshman Sam Seyfferth (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) added a team-high nine digs.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday at the Messiah Tournament. The Bobcats will face host Messiah at 9:00 a.m. before taking on Marymount at 11:00 a.m.
