GIBSONIA, Pa. —
Frostburg State junior forward Antione McCall (Essex, Md./Eastern Tech)
has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference's South Region Player of the Week.
McCall becomes the first player from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference to be chosen by the ECAC this season.
McCall helped the Bobcats to a pair of wins last week averaging 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He scored a career-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a FSU 72-71 overtime win against La Roche last Wednesday.
McCall, who has scored in double figures in five-straight contests, has also helped the Bobcats recover from a 0-3 start by winning four of their last five games to even its overall record to 4-4. Frostburg State is currently third in the AMCC with a 3-1 conference record.
FSU returns to the court this Saturday when it travels to Christopher Newport at 2:00 pm.
