Frostburg State junior Antione McCall (Essex, Md./Eastern Tech)
was selected to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference men’s basketball second team, Monday.
McCall had a standout season for the Bobcats leading them in points per game (14.5) and rebounds per game (6.5). McCall, a two-time AMCC Player of the Week this season, finished fourth in the conference in rpg and 12th in ppg. McCall was also fourth in the AMCC in blocked shots (31) and blocked shots per game (1.29), sixth in defensive rebounds per game (4.33), ninth in offensive rebounds per game (2.21) and 10th in the AMCC in field goal percentage (.496).
McCall scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 11 boards in a 86-69 FSU loss to Hilbert on Feb. 10.
He helped Frostburg State finish first in the conference in offensive rebounds (14.38 rpg), second in rebounding offense (38.2 rpg) and rebounding margin (+2.1 rpg), fourth in rebounding defense (36.1) and defensive rebounds (23.85 rpg) and fifth in the league in scoring offense (70.2 ppg) and blocked shots (2.73 bpg).
Frostburg State finished the season 10-16 overall and 9-9 in the AMCC.
