Senior Megan McNew (White Hall, Md./North Harford) ran a personal-best 19:17 to lead the Frostburg State women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish out of seven teams at the Mason Dixon Conference Championships Saturday at Pratt Park in Fredericksburg, Va.
McNew earned All-Mason Dixon Conference honors for the fourth straight year.
Sophomore Inga Olsen (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) finished fourth in the women's 3.1-mile event, turning in a time of 19:40, and was also named to the All-Mason Dixon Conference team.
Senior Sara DeBoer (Odenton, Md./Arundel) ran a 21:46 to place 28th overall, while freshman Elizabeth Sauder (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) was 29th in 21:53.
Freshman Katherine Eads (West Point, Iowa/Central Lee) finished 42nd overall with a time of 22:25, and fellow freshman Christy May (Dunkirk, Md./Northern) rounded out the Bobcat scoring with a 49th-place showing in 23:47.
Salisbury State's Suzy McCulloch won the women's title in 18:43.9, while Aimee Gibbs of Christopher Newport was second in 18:53.
Mary Washington used three top-ten finishes to win the women's title with 48 points, followed by Christopher Newport with 55 points. Salisbury State scored 63 points to place third, and Frostburg State followed in
fourth with 100 points.
Catholic was fifth (109), Gallaudet sixth (141) and Methodist seventh (217).
