GREENSBURG, PA — Senior Sean Brown (Baltimore, Md./North County) scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to lead Frostburg State to a 92-85 win over host Pitt-Greensburg in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference contest Wednesday night at Chambers Hall Gym.

Brown, who posted his first double-double of the season, was one of a season-high six Bobcats to score in double figures.

Junior Pierre Bowery (Kensington, Md./Albert Einstein) had 14 points, junior A.J. Ernst (Minster, Ohio/Minster) and freshman Kamillo Rosenthal (Munich, Germany/Catholic (Va.)) each had 13, sophomore Ryan Grabill (Hagerstown, Md./Williamsport) added 12 and junior Robert Jones (Fort Washington, Md./Friendly) finished with 10.

Frostburg State (12-10, 7-2 AMCC) built a 14-6 lead just over five minutes into the game before Pitt-Greensburg took a brief 24-20 advantage.

Brown sank two three-pointers and assisted on two other jumpers in a 19-4 run over the next seven minutes as FSU took a 41-32 halftime lead.

FSU stretched its lead to as many as 12, 52-40, with 15:37 remaining, but Pitt-Greensburg (7-15, 4-6) hung tough, closing to within 65-62 on Jeff Fisher's three-pointer with 9:27 to go.

The visiting Bobcats created some breathing room with a 7-0 spurt to move in front, 72-62, at the 7:06 mark, and UPG got no closer than seven points the rest of the way.

FSU hit 8-of-10 free throws in the final 3:49 to seal the victory.

FSU sank 22-of-28 attempts from the charity stripe during the game and held a 40-27 advantage in rebounding.

Garrett Treese led Pitt-Greensburg with a game-high 23 points, while Ryan Moye had 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Scott Winfrey and Nate Watkins added 10 points each.

Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday when it visits Pitt-Bradford, 8-1 in AMCC action, in a key league contest at 4:00 p.m.
