Men's Soccer Receives Five All-AMCC Selections

GIBSONIA, Pa. — For the third-straight season, the Frostburg State men’s soccer team placed five players on the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Soccer Team.

Junior Trevor Havey (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) was the lone Bobcat representative on the All-AMCC first team.

He scored two goals and added three assists from his center midfield position. Havey was a second team honoree his freshman year.

Seniors Steve Zoutman (Chester, N.Y./Goshen) and Derek Richardson (New Windsor, Md./Linganore), junior Kenny Dotter (Baltimore, Md./Sparrows Point) and sophomore Adam Gracia (Rockville, Md./Thomas Wootton) were named to the second team.

Zoutman started and played in all 19 games, recording two assists from his centerback position. This is his third season in the Bobcat defense, while playing forward his freshman year.

This years honor is his first time being selected to an All-AMCC team.

Richardson started all 14 games in which he played in. He recorded 60 saves, while posting a 0.769 save percentage. He suffered an injry, which required him to sit out four of the last five Bobcat games.

Dotter was the team leader in points, goals, and game-winning goals. He posted a career high 24 points, on eleven goals, three of which were game-winners, and two assists.

Dotter was awarded first team honors last year and honorable mention his freshman year.

Gracia was called on to play a variety of positions this year. He started the season as a defender before being moved to midfield and striker, but later returned to the Bobcat defense.

With his technical ability and vision, he is one of the most versaitle players on the team. He recorded five assists this year, three of which came off corner kicks against Mt. Aloysius. Last year, Gracia was also a second team selection.

Frostburg State finished the season with a loss in the semifinals of the AMCCTournament, ending it’s season with a 7-11-1 overall record, 4-4-1 in the AMCC.
