On the women's side, senior Cindy Reese (Westminster/Westminster, Md.). won both the 1- and 3-meter diving events with some impressive dives. Her total in the 1-meter was 2:30.94, and 202.25 in the 3-meter.

Freshman Heather Hamor (Lackey/Nanjemoy, Md.) captured the 200-meter freestyle in 2:21.99 and also won the 400-meter freestyle in 4:58.53. Winning the 50-meter freestyle was junior Jessie Bley (Gwynne Park/Fort Washington, Md.) with a time of 30.20, while sophomore Kim Kaiser (Severna/Severna Park, Md.) captured the 200-meter individual medley in 3:05.33.

"Everybody is tired, but I think we had some excellent swims," said head coach Chip Villarreal. "Melody Hanna continues to post incredible swims. Cindy Reese turned in another strong diving score, one that shows she's ready for national competition. Our other divers are working incredibly hard and improving markedly."

"On the men's side, we were led again by Chris Williams, who is improving in every aspect of his swims, and Greg Barnhart showed some tough competitiveness," said Villarreal.

Senior George O'Brien (Linganore/Mt. Airy, Md.), a newcomer in the diving events, has also been impressive.

"George, a football All-American, continues to improve his scores and is adding a great dimension of toughness to our squad. He's very popular on campus and is really drawing a crowd to our meets, which in turn, helps inspire everyone."

The Bobcats will host Penn State Behrend on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
