Myles Advances to Finals of 55-Meter Dash at NCAA National Championships

ADA, OH - Junior Dante Myles advanced to Saturday's finals of the 55-meter dash at the NCAA Championships by placing second in his heat in a time of 6.35 Friday at Ohio Northern University.

Myles placed second in his heat behind Wisconsin-La Crosse senior Dan Tutskey and posted the third-best time in the qualifying round.

Defending indoor champion Chaz Clemons of Lincoln (Pa.) University ran a 6.23, while Tutskey turned in a 6.34. Bridgewater (Va.) senior Davon Cruz posted a 6.41.

The men's 55-meter dash final will be held Saturday at 4:25 p.m.

On the women's side, Bobcat junior Maria Ferguson finished fourth in her heat in a time of 7.27 seconds and missed qualifying for the final by just .01 seconds.
