DOVER, DE —
Frostburg State sophomore linebacker James Plummer (Washington, D.C./Archbishop Carroll)
and freshman kicker/punter Nick Quisgard (Baltimore, Md./John Carroll)
each earned weekly honors from the Atlantic Central Football Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Plummer took home his second straight ACFC Defensive Player of the Week award and his third honor in the last four weeks.
He recorded a game-high 14 tackles, including three for losses, as the Bobcats posted a thrilling 30-27 overtime win over cross-state rival Salisbury University in the Third Annual Regents' Cup Game held Saturday at RFK Stadium in Washington.
Quisgard was named the ACFC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season for his performance in the win over the Sea Gulls.
He opened the scoring with a 27-yard field goal, converted all three of his extra point attempts and averaged 39.0 yards on seven punts.
Frostburg State concluded its second year under Head Coach Rubin Stevenson with a 5-4 overall record and finished second in the ACFC with a 2-1 mark.
The Bobcats closed out the year with a three-game winning streak, their first such stretch since midway through the 1999 season.
