BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior Lori Potts (Purcellville, Va./Loudoun Valley) pitched a two-hitter in game one of a doubleheader, as Frostburg States split against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Medaille, Saturday afternoon.

FSU (10-14, 7-3) shut out MC (10-12, 8-4) in game one 3-0 and then went on to drop the second contest 5-2.

Potts got the Bobcats on the board in the first inning, when she doubled, scoring freshman Amber Macintosh (Point of Rocks, Md./Brunswick), who previously got on base with a single and then moved to second on a groundout by junior Amanda Baldwin (Baltimore, Md./North County).

FSU added to its lead in the second inning, when junior Meghan Dabkowski (Eastnorthport, N.Y./Commack) scored a run on a sophomore Kaitlyn Wagner (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County) single. Wagner would later score on a groundout by Kelly Filipowicz (Elkridge, Md./Long Reach).

Both teams would be held scoreless through the remaining five innings. Potts, picked up her fourth win on the season, while striking out six and walking just three batters.
