ERIE, PA —
A pair of Frostburg State student-athletes were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Athletes of the Week in the league's weekly announcement Monday.
Sophomore Beth Sauder (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett) earned AMCC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week after placing 134th out of 285 runners at the NYU Invitational with a time of 22:11.
Freshman Karen Kotofski (Glen Burnie, Md./North East) took home AMCC Women's Soccer Athlete of the Week honors after scoring seven goals and adding an assist in FSU’s 3-0 week. Kotofski recorded consecutive hat tricks in league wins over Pitt-Greensburg (5-1) and Lake Erie (11-0), and she notched her team-leading ninth goal in a 4-3 defeat of Villa Julie. FSU improved to a school-record 9-1.
Ten Bobcats have earned AMCC Athlete of the Week honors so far this season.
