- Sophomore Scott Feller (American Heritage HS/Coral Springs, FL)
was named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference "Baseball Player of the Week" for the week of March 30 - April 6.
During that span Feller batted .563 (9-16) to lead the Bobcats to a 6-2 week and a first place standing in the AMCC. In his 16 at-bats he picked up 7 RBI, slugging 2 doubles and 2 home runs. He also managed to reach base walking four times, while striking out just once.
During the week's play, Feller had a stretch of 10 straight plate appearances where he reached base, going 7-7 with three walks. His best performance came in the midst of that streak against AMCC rival Penn State Altoona as he went 3-3 with two homeruns, a walk, three runs scored and five RBI leading the Bobcats to a 12-2 victory.
In the field, Feller was also flawless as he made no errors on the week as he has only made two fielding errors in 149 chances all season long.
Currently, Feller leads the team with a .374 batting average, a .672 slugging percentage, 20 RBI, 8 doubles, and 4 homeruns. He ranks second with a .455 on-base percentage, 20 runs scored, and 45 total bases.
