Singer-songwriter Cory Sipper -- whose style blends acoustic, pop, folk and rock -- will perform at Frostburg State University in the Lane Center Loft as part of the Cafe Frostburg series Friday, May 4, beginning at 8 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public.
Hailing from Santa Barbara, Calif., Sipper began writing and performing her songs at the age of 12. She attended The Berklee College of Music for a year in 1991 and has since released four albums on her own label, Drumdrum Records. She credits her early influences as Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens and James Taylor.
Sipper has been known to touch listeners with her uncanny ability to write and perform with heart and purity. One fan describes Sipper's music as "music to enjoy and dream to." Another called Sipper's latest album, "Orbiter," as " ... the soundtrack of my life."
