FROSTBURG, Md. —
The Frostburg State softball coaching staff has announced that it will host pitching, catching and hitting clinics on Sunday, February 4 and February 11.
The clinics are available to players 9 to 18 and will run from 9:00 am to noon in the Harold J. Cordts Physical Education Center. The two sessions will be run by FSU head coach Wes Landrum, assistant coach Stacie Reichert and the members of the 2007 Bobcat softball team.
The clinics for grades 3-8 will run on February 4 and for grades 9-12 on February 11 and will cost $20 per session/per player.
Pitching Clinic - A clinic for both pitchers interested in learning how to pitch and for those who are more advanced and would like to work on control, velocity, and/or learning and working on new pitches. Pitchers must bring their own catchers.
Catching Clinic - A clinic for catchers to work on receiving pitches, framing, blocking and throwing. Catchers should bring gear if available.
Hitting Clinics - All aspects of hitting will be covered in an instructional and circuit-type set-up where participation and interaction will be the focus. The hitting clinic will cover hitting fundamentals, explosive hitting, inside/outside pitch, pitch selection, and bunting.
