Alexandra McCarty, a representative from National Public Radio's Policy and Station Services Department, will speak on Friday, Oct. 25, as part of Career Day 2002 at Frostburg State University. McCarty will meet with interested students from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, in Guild Center Room 104.
FSU's Career Day is a part of FSU's "Take Me Home" Homecoming 2002, with events scheduled Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
With NPR since November 1995, McCarty worked her way up from student volunteer to general manager and was instrumental in helping the station grow from a 150-watt student-run operation to a 25,000-watt professional radio station.
