Frostburg State junior Justin Stephens (Oakland, Md./Southern Garrett)
has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second straight week.
Stephens ran his No. 1 singles winning streak to 10 matches with a 4-0 week. He posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory against Penn State Altoona, a 6-2, 6-0 win against Bethany (W.Va.), a 6-2, 6-2 win over Alfred and a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6 (14-12 tiebreaker) victory against Penn State Behrend.
He also won doubles matches against Penn State Altoona and Bethany.
Stephens also took home the AMCC Player of the Week award on March 31 after winning singles matches against Dickinson and Villa Julie at the Villa Julie Invitational.
He split a pair of doubles contests as well and was named to the all-tournament team for his efforts.
The Bobcats, currently 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the AMCC, return to action on Wednesday at Bethany (W.Va.) beginning at 3:30 p.m.
