- Frostburg State moved up two spots to fourth place in this week's Mid-Atlantic Region volleyball poll as it improved to 25-3 overall and remained undefeated in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference at 10-0.
The Bobcats, who are riding an eight-match winning streak, have won 22 of their last 23 matches, dropping only seven games in that stretch.
This past week, FSU defeated Lake Erie, Penn State Behrend, Christopher Newport and Pitt-Greensburg all in three games on its way to clinching first place in the AMCC regular season and the right to host the conference postseason tournament.
The Bobcats are ranked tenth nationally with an .889 winning percentage. Frostburg State has won 22 straight AMCC matches dating back to the 2001 season and currently leads the conference with a .262 hitting percentage, 1,114 assists (12.52 assists per game), 285 service aces (3.20 service aces per game) and 1,223 total kills.
The Bobcats will close out their home schedule as they host a tri-match this Saturday, October 25th facing Pitt-Bradford at 11:00 a.m. and Messiah at 3:00 p.m. They will then finish the regular season by traveling to La Roche College on Monday, October 27th before returning home to prepare for the AMCC Tournament starting on Friday, October 31st at Bobcat Arena.
