- Frostburg State, who is currently riding a ten-match winning streak and has won 20 straight games, has received recognition statistically on a national level. As a team they rank in the top 30 in hitting percentage and overall winning percentage.
Along with the teams success, junior Carrie Ness (Francis Scott Key/Taneytown, Md.) is ranked 20th in the nation and second in the AMCC with 11.47 assists per game, trailing the nations best Stacey O’Laughlin of Blackburn College by only 3.71 assists per game.
As a team, the Bobcats are 12-2 overall as of September 21, 2003 when the statistical rankings were released, for a winning percentage of .857 which ranks them 30th in the nation.
The Bobcats are ranked 23rd overall with a team hitting percentage of .276. Leading the way for the Bobcats is Jodi Carpenter (Linganore/Mt. Airy, Md.) with a .346 hitting percentage, which ranks second in the AMCC.
