FROSTBURG, Md. —
Frostburg State sophomore Molly Whyte (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge)
added to her collection of weekly honors Tuesday when she was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Mid-Atlantic Goalkeeper of the Week.
Whyte, who earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors on Monday, helped the Bobcats to a 1-0-1 week against AMCC opponents and did not allow a goal in more than 190 minutes.
She held Penn State Altoona scoreless over 80:43 in a 7-0 victory last Wednesday and then kept conference rival Penn State Behrend off the board in a 0-0 double-overtime contest Saturday to run her scoreless streak to 579 minutes.
Whyte helped FSU (6-5-2, 5-0-1 AMCC) to its school-record sixth straight shutout. She now has three shutouts and a 0.70 goals against average this season.
