GIBSONIA, Pa. —
The Frostburg State volleyball team had two players selected to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference First Team, Monday.
Freshman Brooke Winterling (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) was named the AMCC’s Newcomer of the Year as well as a first team honoree after leading the conference with 547 kills, finishing second with 4.97 kills per game and finishing sixth with a 0.257 hitting percentage. She also ranks fourth on the FSU single-season kill list.
Senior Amanda Hernandez (Crofton, Md./Arundel) earned first team honors this season after being named to the second team a year ago. She paced the AMCC with 1,089 assists and finished third with an average of 9.90 per game.
She finishes her FSU career, third all-time in assists. She also left her mark on the single-season record books, holding the fourth and sixth spots in assists with 1,116 and 1,089, respectively.
FSU finished the season 13-19 overall and 7-2 in the league.
