Sophomore Tracey Little (LaVale, Md./Allegany)
scored a game-high 15 points and added a team-high seven rebounds to lead Frostburg State to a 75-40 road win over Villa Julie Tuesday night.
The Bobcats, who have won three straight games to improve to 9-10 overall, recorded 22 steals and forced 39 turnovers — both season highs — to cruise to the easy win.
Villa Julie (0-20) shot just 15-of-43 from the field for the game, including 4-of-16 in an 11-point second half.
Frostburg State jumped out to a 6-0 lead before pulled to within 10-8. Senior Holly Myers (York, Pa./York) then scored five straight points in a 9-1 Bobcat run, and FSU increased its advantage to 31-15 with 7:03 left in the first half.
The Bobcats held a 40-29 halftime cushion and kept its offense rolling in the second half, outscoring the Mustangs, 14-0 to open the frame. FSU's lead grew to as many as 36, 69-33, with 5:15 to play.
Myers finished with 11 points, four steals and three assists.
Junior Lorrie Budd (Kingsville, Md./Perry Hall) had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Villa Julie, who fell to 0-14 all-time against FSU.
Frostburg State will look to continue its climb back to .500 when it visits Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference front-runner Penn State Behrend Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Behrend posted a 78-75 overtime win over the Bobcats January 18 in Frostburg.
