The Bobcats (7-2, 3-0 AMCC) took a 14-4 lead at the 14:40 mark in the opening stanza on a jumper by redshirt-sophomore Amanda Hernandez (Crofton, Md./Arundel). Junior Tracie George (Windber, Pa./Windber) extended FSU’s lead to 20 points, 29-9, with a three-pointer at 9:16.

Lake Erie (1-6, 0-3) then used an 18-11 run spanning almost nine minutes to cut the Bobcat lead to 40-27 with 30 seconds left until halftime. Hargrove scored two of her 10 first-half points with 19 seconds remaining to send the teams into the lockerroom with Frostburg State leading 42-27.

FSU’s lead was 16, 48-32, just under three minutes into the second half before the Storm made six-straight baskets to cut the Bobcat lead to 48-44. The Bobcats built their lead to 54-47 but watched as LEC went on an 8-2 run to trail by just one at 56-55 with 8:39 to play in the game.

However, Frostburg State would hold Lake Erie to just seven points the rest of the way while increasing their lead back to double digits, 69-59, with 4:57 left in the game before going on to win by 15.

FSU shot 46.3 percent from the field on 31-of-67 shooting as LEC shot 36.5 percent from the floor on 23-of-63 shooting.
