FROSTBURG, Md. —
The Frostburg State women’s basketball team continues to rank among the national leaders in this week’s NCAA Division III statistics.
The Bobcats, 19-5 overall and 16-1 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, rank second in the nation in free-throw percentage with a 74.9 mark (341-455) and boast the 20th-best scoring margin (+17.5 points per game).
FSU is also 21st in both rebounding margin (+8.3 rpg) and field-goal percentage defense (32.8). The Red & Black are averaging 72.7 points per game, which ranks 28th in the country, and their 79.2 winning percentage is 47th.
In the individual player rankings, senior forward Tracey Little (La Vale, Md./Allegany) is 25th in scoring (18.5 ppg) and 26th in rebounding (10.7), while junior guard Stephanie Watts (Baltimore, Md./North County (CCBC-Catonsville)) is 22nd in steals per game (3.7).
Frostburg State, which has already clinched the AMCC regular-season title as well as the top seed and hosting rights for the AMCC Tournament, returns to action Saturday when it closes out the regular season at AMCC rival Pitt-Greensburg.
